Man, I haven't ranted like that since leaving Happy Acres.

I think I pulled a muscle.

Sad that I debated with myself about even ranting when the drama was brought to me. Remnants of the self doubt that I had/have about what I post here, how I post.

As soon as I find my bra I'll be headed over to Dad's house to empty his pond. Fun times.

TMF is at water therapy with his great aunt. He didn't sleep well, so I know he's thrilled about having to get up. Later he'll be picking up the harley.

Time to stop procrastinating.

Don't ask how I did it. It took an amazing feat of gymnastically retarded skill to accomplish and I don't think I could replicate the move without a large bottle of Parrot Bay, a rubber sheet, some Wesson oil, and Robert Downey Jr.....

But I just stabbed myself under the eye, with my thumbnail, while brushing my hair.

It's already turning colors.

I have given myself a black eye. And it hurts.

But I guess I told me, eh? Uppity bitch knows better now, or I'll black her other eye.

The harley is home and locked up. There's been a lot of bike thefts around town lately.

If you ever wondered what would happen if gas prices got too high....this is it. People are going insane and doing stupid things to try and save themselves some money. And it's only going to get worse.

Dad's pond was mostly drained before he asked me for help yesterday. He'd pumped out the majority of the 150 gallon tank, but there was still a good 6-8 inches of water in the bottom. Wanna know how much 6-8 inches equals in bucket size? +25 gallons.

I bailed and bailed and bailed. Dad couldn't, his back is too bad.

So I ended up, on my knees, ass in the air, smaller bucket in one hand, the other bracing me from going in headfirst.

I pulled up several smaller buckets, poured them into a 5 gallon bucket. When that was full, I carried it to various parts of the gardens and dumped it. Then repeated the process. Again and again. I stopped counting after my 5th trip.

When I was done, the water was too low for the smaller bucket to get much. It now looks like it's going to be a serious hand job...if Dad wants the rest of the water out. I left about an inch or so still in the pond.

Remarkably, it didn't take very long at all. It was just labor intensive.

When I got back home I rested for a minute, saw Demon off to work, and then went to Wal-Mart. The mortgage is paid for this month, so we're done with bills for another 14 days.

So...I decided to go to the grocery store.

I'm standing there in line, Gorton's fish sticks in my cart, my eye watering from allergies.

The blackened eye, mind you....

When Luka starts playing on the store radio....

The cashier appeared a mite uncomfy.

Whether it was from the black eye and the watering, or from the fact that I was doubled over on her check writing counter, laughing my ass off as she scanned my items, I'm not sure.

Just don't ask me what it was, please don't ask me what it was....

I swear...sometimes I think I hear the faint sound of a laugh-track and wonder who is watching the sitcom that is my life.
