Laptop of doom

Got the doom lappy back the night before last. J. updated the drivers and such. Doom lappy was working fine. Today, I get on, things are going well and WHAM.....there goes the screen again. If it's the actual video card, it goes to the shop as it's welded to the laptop. Or it could be the hardrive. Or the processor.

So. On the way to taking TMF to work, I am dropping Doomlappy off with a certified HP shop.

If you pray, please do so. Pray the repair is easy. Pray it's not TOO expensive. Pray that I DO get the stuff off my harddrive, if it needs replaced.

VIDEO has nothing to do with HDD. Unless you took it to Fry's where the jackasses do not know how to do anything but wipe said hard drive to prove it isn't the driver. Hopefully you have a smarter shop than I do here.

That sounds like a video card issue. The last time my computer had screen issues, it was the video card not keeping up with what I was asking it to do.
