Political Headdesking
Aug. 29th, 2008 01:15 pmIn an interview just a month ago, [Gov. Sarah Palin] dissed the job, saying it didn’t seem “productive.”
In fact, she said she doesn’t know what the vice president does.
Larry Kudlow of CNBC’s “Kudlow & Co.” asked her about the possibility of becoming McCain ticket mate.
Palin replied: “[A]s for that V.P. talk all the time, I’ll tell you, I still can’t answer that question until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the V.P. does every day? I’m used to being very productive and working real hard in an administration. We want to make sure that that V.P .slot would be a fruitful type of position, especially for Alaskans and for the things that we’re trying to accomplish up here for the rest of the U.S., before I can even start addressing that question.”

Oh. Em. Gee. A black man on one ticket, and a woman on the other. Party tries to upstage the next. If Obama had chosen Clinton as his Veep, then McCain would have resurrected Regan to one up the Dems.
Who wants to bet that McCain manages to get his nomination bumped to Sept. 11th, but they'll delay only because of the storm, mind you.
I wouldn't mind voting Republican. If they could show me a candidate that promised something new, compared to the last 8 years. Maybe it's my American sheep mentality, that I'll follow a charismatic leader who promises positive change. If so....BAAAAAA. I'm tired of the same old shit. Palin is Pro-Life and presides over an oil state. Stop trying to dazzle me with your progressive politics and get to the point. One is offering change. One is not.
Please, give me someone to follow. If it goes to hell, I'm responsible enough to accept responsibility for my vote.
At least I'm paying attention. A lot of people have no clue other than one guy is black, the other one is old.
