Random things occurring in my life.....

I'm getting phone spam. Phone porn spam. Local phone # porn spam. Penises mostly. Unnatural penises. Unnaturally LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG penises. We're talking Photoshop or a stable.

Question. Should I call back this number and complain? Should I send pics of nuns or something? Little girls holding kittens perhaps? I don't know...I've never been phone spammed before.

My stupidity allergy has been in full swing the last 2 days.

Last night I overheard a woman at the job tell her friends she lost $300. Not in a machine....I'd expect that. No. She was ahead and lost $300 out of her pocket. Let me restate that....this dumb bitch dropped THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ON THE FLOOR and was laughing about having lost it.

Second stupidity allergy cause. I called Virginia to let her know we'd seen her interview and that we approved of it. She was really nervous about the whole thing. She happens to mention, in conversation, that another friend, Tandy is wanting to get in touch with me. My number is not freely banded about. I dislike talking on the phone.

But, I digress. Some background....

Tandy is currently living with her parents, devout Jehovah's Witnesses. Tandy practices Santeria. Tandy knows a lady and the lady's niece and used to give tarot readings to the both of them. Both ladies took serious advantage of Tandy's time, when she was living alone, by getting readings every single day (When Tandy was in the hospital last year, I had to step in and pull High Priestess rank to get them to leave her alone for a day or so, as they were calling her at all hours, wanting her to do readings while dealing with a serious staph infection and rheumatoid arthritis issues).

However, due to respect for her parents, Tandy is not giving readings anymore, until she finds a place of her own.

This brings us to today. The niece has been calling Tandy, wanting a reading. Tandy said that she knows people (ME) who might be willing to do a reading....but it will likely cost the niece money. The niece is not happy about this.

Virginia goes on to tell me that Tandy also informed the niece that she wouldn't be getting a reading like Tandy's...because Tandy reads ALL 72 CARDS OF THE DECK.

Let me point this out, I do readings, but I have never charged for one. I think the money is Tandy's way of getting this woman to back off....because it's obvious they aren't big into actual self-sacrifice.

And I can do complicated readings. But I do not read every card in the damned deck. I would need an entire freaking room for a reading like that....not to mention 3 days.

See...my readings consist of 3-42 cards. I have specific layouts for specific questions or time periods....and each layout is a time consuming process. A simple 9 card layout can last a good 45-60 minutes, depending on the cards and question. The 42 card reading can take a serious bit of an afternoon.

I can't even imagine what would require all 72 cards (not that they wouldn't end up canceling each other out after a while) much less a 72 card reading EVERY DAMNED DAY!!!!

While I was on the phone with Virginia, Tandy beeped in. I told Virginia to give her my # but not to call me until tomorrow. I'll deal with it then. But I know what I'd say if asked right now....

::deepens voice:: The spirits are not moving me to do this. The veil is drawn, I cannot see. My guides are silent (actually, they're shrieking about using all the damned cards for anything but building a card house) but the winds and the totems do not show this as a good time to venture into the shadowrealm.

I don't know. I'm not so troubled that I'd turn down $25 or so..........
