Happy 4th America! Happy Saturday, everyone else!

Tonight after work we're going to shoot off our fireworks. We're going out to a lake, where we can do it legally. $2000 fines suck.

Bringing the camera. I have a firework setting on the camera I want to try out and then I'm going to play around with the manual settings.

I tried getting some shots last night at work. They did a little show after it got dark and I had time to burn before Demon got off work. However, I wasn't paying attention and bought AAA batteries instead of AA ones. And 3 pics into the shoot, the camera died.

I think I'll double up on batteries tonight though. Slow shutter settings drain batteries like whoa.

TMF sent me the following txt last night, to let me know he was ready to go home:

Mission Control, this is Psycho 1. Mission objective almost complete. Ready to return to base. Over

I responded thusly, from my chair while watching fireworks:

Psycho 1, this is Mission Control. We are in a holding pattern waiting for Short Eagle. Over.
