Open for business....
Apr. 10th, 2009 09:53 amI've come to a conclusion. I try to do too much on my days off. I have all these great ideas and plans during the 6 days I work, so when my 2 day off period arrives, I find myself looking at a ton of errands to run, projects to price, projects to finish, and no time for important things. Like visiting my parents. Or getting meds refilled.
This 2 day is no different. I've got a wild hair going about some landscaping stones and plan to go to Lowes and price them sometime today. But, I am resolved to wait on buying some until next payday at the very least.

We're having ritual here tomorrow so I need to do some shopping for that. I think I'll go to my parents house to do my baking today and visit with them at the same time.
So, the to do list for today, in order of importance:
Phone in refills for meds
Call eye doc about contacts
Buy Robitussin and bring home for TMF, who is sick, sick, sick
WalMart for baking/dinner supplies and high traffic grass seed
Mall to buy said contacts
Lowes to price landscaping stones
After the running around has been accomplished I will go hang at Mom and Dad's and bake. I'd do it here, but our oven still smells like burning mouse when we use it. I've got to coordinate time, people, and a truck to get it to the repair shop where hopefully they can replace the insulation and fix the problem.

And yes, TMF is sick. He NEVER gets sick. But he's got it now. Doc says he has an upper respiratory infection. Normally, things like this hit him, he feels a little woobly a day or two, and that's it. Then I catch it and I'm down for 2 weeks. He's been sick now for about 5 days, running fevers, coughing up ribs, and for a few days he couldn't keep anything down. This means that if I catch it, I'm dead. So we've been avoiding contact at all costs. But, the dingleberry didn't tell me he'd run out of his cough medicine yesterday. So he went without all night, and kept us both up with the hacking. I'm going to get a big enough bottle of Robitussin to make sure it lasts through this super bug he's got.
