Well, my *weekend off* starts tomorrow. I have a list of things to get done. I started in the living room this morning, picking it up a bit. Tonight after work I was thinking about either dishes or cleaning out a car.

I took my Cymbalta a little later today. Hoping that maybe I won't be so tired by the time I get home. I could get a lot accomplished if I didn't want to fall over by midnight.

An old friend may be making an appearance this Monday. I hope he's able to attend circle with us. He comes into town every Monday and Tuesday apparently. And we haven't seen him in YEEEEEEARS.

On the drama front, Virginia is in a bad spot of limbo. She'd gotten a job at a nearby nursing home as a cook. Right up her alley. They had to run the normal health care tests, one of which is a TB test. According to what she's described to me, she's going to test positive for, at the very least, exposure to TB.

No biggie, I tested positive back in `98. I had to go to the Health Department, get X-rays, and spent 9 months on medication to *prevent* any infection. I don't *have* TB. There's question as to my test even, as the guy who did it was shaking, injected me pretty deeply (it's supposed to be just below the skin) and turns out my brother is allergic to the medication and tests positive every time, even as a child.

However, Virginia....I doubt her test was screwed up, and I doubt she's developed an allergy to it. I'm guessing she's been exposed. However, she doesn't know how this will affect her job. I couldn't answer that for her, every company is different. She WILL have to be reported to the Health Department. She WILL have to have X-rays.

Here is where the problem starts. Virginia is a heavy smoker. Virginia has had both chronic bronchitis and pneumonia in the recent year. We've been questioning whether or not she has COPD. She coughs all the time, can't ever catch her breath. Her lungs are going to look like shit on X-rays. Which is one of the ways that the Health Department judges your TB risk.

I'm not sure what they'll do, but I'm pretty positive that Virginia is going to end up on some pretty hefty drugs soon, and we may all have to roll down to the Health Department for a checkup. I'm hoping that her job will be okay and stable, even though she's giving a positive test.
